Piggy Nation!

Hello faithful friends! Its been too long since my last post (swishing the moths away) I apologize for the long delay. As always work was taking over the majority of my days so I was unable to get around to posting. On the bright side I have started a new project within the last few weeks and I am able to share some of what I am working on. Piggy Nation is the brainchild of Richard Rosser and we have been working together on a children's book. The illustration I am posting is one of the many pages I have illustrated. As the book gets closer to being finished I will be sure to post how you can get your hands on a copy of the book! Hope you guys enjoy and again thanks for dropping by!

Infinite

Here is my stab at the Illustration Friday's topic "Infinite". Since it is now officially fall and Halloween is right around the corner I thought a spooky type illo would be good to try. Hope you like it!

Ezra

Looking at pictures of Ezra Pound I was inspired to capture his likeness. Since he is credited as being a very important poet in the modernist movement, I wanted to include a "book" element in the piece. The three pages in the book reference the three very different times in his life.

Wrapped!

Thanks to Illustration Friday for preventing artist block! Being a commercial artist I get use to someone telling me what to do and how to do it. Sometimes getting started on my own idea or project is hard and of course the "Blank sheet of Paper" can be an artists worst nightmare. The suggested topic this week was "Wrapped", heres my stab at it.

Bad Habits #2

I went through many different versions before finally deciding on this composition. I started by basing the image proportions on the proportions of a cigarette box. There are some other "subliminal" image references I put into the piece to help relate it to the bad habit. Please feel free to leave any comments of what you like or dont like. Thanks!

Looking back...

This is not from my "Bad Habits" series, but I wanted to try to post at least once a week. This is an old drawing I did during my downtime at work. I came across it while looking through some old files so I thought I would go ahead and put it out there. Enjoy!

Here is the first of a series I am currently working on. It is based on people's most common bad habits. I wanted to keep this one flat and desaturated to go along with the bad habit itself.
